I was really shocked at it, I can't believe at first Mizuno-san's tweet (https://twitter.com/mizunoyoshiki/status/443621542019100672) but I recognized two Kanjis beside each other, "new song". That's why I looked for "Love Song wa Tomaranai yo" (as I've read there) then checked out here. So here is my description of the song, so far as I've heard:

"It is in the Key of D, has similar chord progressions in the chorus as Egao, and is approximately 112-136bpm."

It's not yet up on iTunes. But the CM is to be released tomorrow already (March 14) I mean today. It's exactly 12am in my clock now.

It sounds like a cute song, judging from the preview and it seems it fits a CM quite nicely.

Ikimonogakari's new song used in CM for 'Calpis Water'

Ikimonogakari's new song "Love Song wa Tomaranai yo" will be used in the CM for Calpis Water starting March 14th.

The song was written just for the CM with the theme "the overflowing feelings for the person you love". It was written and composed by Mizuno Yoshiki (G), and arranged by Honma Akimitsu.


Ikimonogakari provided their song "1 2 3 ~Koi ga Hajimaru~" for Calpis Water last year, making this their 2nd tie-up with the brand. Their new song "Love Song wa Tomaranai yo" will be digitally released on March 14th.

Maybe Iki got a "packaged" deal for 3 songs under contract with Calpis like they seem to usually do for CMs. For example, I believe Perfume had such a deal with Pure Gumi but, then again, maybe they just liked Koi Ga Hajimaru.
