exotic place? hmmm... probably that place where i've never been to...so i myself dont have any idea where's that exotic place is located...haha

The Philippines is divided into 3 major islands and each of them consists large mass lands and sub-islands...so with a total of 7,107 islands...somewhere along the road...you can always find an exotic place that is enticing to your senses.

let me bounce back the question...what's the most exotic place in indonesia? if not the most...what are the places that a first time tourist should visit to?

About this question, i don't have any idea too to answer it.. There are more than 13.000 island here, almost twice of Philippine, and sadly.. i only visit 3 of them (exclude Java of course).. so, there are so many exciting places here..
The most famous place here was Bali, like Mr1_Star said it's become the first destination for tourism.. in fact, it's may be more famous than Indonesia itself.. there are facts, a funny fact that a lot of people know about Bali, but they don't know or even read/listen the name of Indonesia,
IMO, the most exotic place here is Papua.. Bali is great, but Papua was superb.. the problem is the government hasn't promote it properly, not many peoples know it..
So, anyone who get a chance to visit Indonesia, don't forget to visit this island..
