Some facts about each member

Just thought some of you might not know somethings about them

Yoshioka Kiyoe
- Vocal (standing position:centre)
- Born Feb 29, 1984; Born in Shizuoka; Moved to Atsugi, Kanagawa Pref. at 5 years old.
- Nicknames: "Kiyoe", "Chiyankiyo", "Hotoke".
(I think Chiyankiyo is supposed to be kiyo-chan. But it's what's written)
- Education: Minami Mouri Junior High (Atsugi), Kanagawa Ebina High School, Junior College of Showa Music University (4 year course).
- Her father was a teammate of Yomiuri Giant's coach, Tatsunori Hara, in middle school.
(I'm not so sure about this one if i said it right. But I've seen a video about her and that Baseball Team)
- Her brother was a high school classmate of Mizuno and Yamashita.
- In high school, she was invited to join a band with Mizuno and Yamashita to perform live on the streets.
- She's poor at kanji. [she admmited so in her late night radio show during fridays, AllNightNippon]
- She wears a mask during sleep to protect her throat from drying.
(lol. I don't know how that works )
- "Monomane" (imitation) is her specialty. Some of the people she impersonates: mihimaru GT's Hiroko, Shinnosuke Nohara (the anime "crayon shin-chan"), Satsuki in My Neighbor Totoro (another anime), Jap Comedian Masashi Kumada, a cicada, a tonedeaf person, and mom's karaoke.

- During high school, she was a member of the Broadcasting Dept., Light Music (classical, ballad), and Badminton.
- During school days, she aspired for Kendou (kind of fencing); She bought a Kendo book. [as said so in All Night Nippon]
- Favorite artists: JUDY AND MARY, エレファントカシマシ (elephant kashimashi), BUMP OF CHICKEN, RADWIMPS, and Yuzu. [maybe many more]
- Accdg. to CDTV (TBS) survey of "Artist as Lover", she ranked 8th in Aug. 2008, 12th in Feb. 2009, and 11th recently in Feb. 2010.
(I think this is the survey for the most wanted girlfriend or boyfriend)
- She wants to try being bald just one time before dying.
(I'm really not sure about this one. I don't know what marubouzo means. anyone?)
- Associates/Friends:

• - Hiroko (from mihimaru GT) - they became friends at the Music Station; they oftentimes have long phone conversations (said Hiroko in Excite Music Festival '07). Kiyoe's Monomane of her started after asking permission from Hiroko through exchanging e-mails (like text messages).
  - Shiho Ochi (from Superfly) - they go to the movies together or cook together.
  - Aiko (singer) - who she idolizes (seen from her blog)
  - Yuu Nakamura (singer)- a co-star in "Sakusaku" (Kanagawa Television)
  - Chatmonchy (all-girl rock band)- they go get drinks together. (from All Night Nippon)

Mizuno Yoshiki

- Guitar (usually uses electric guitar), lead of the chorus; (standing position: left); Leader of band
(I think the standing position is based on how you look on them, like how you see them in pictures or while they perform...)
- Born Dec 17, 1982 in Shizuoka then moved to Kanagawa.
- Nicknames: "Yo-chan", "Yoshiki", "Ri-da" (leader).
- Height - 168 cm (about 5'6 or 5'7 ft)
- Education: Elementary - Ebina School; High school - Kanagawa Atsugi High; College - Hitotsubashi Uni (Sociology Graduate)
- As of 2009, he's in charge of writing lyrics for single-A.
- It takes him 30 days to write a song
- His name is similar to his grandfather.
- He had piano lessons since he's a kid. The teacher in elementary school was interested in guitar music lesson. He thought it was cool so he started to take it. (from "Ikimono Kansatsu Nikki-Douga Hen ")
(that Ikimono Kansatsu, i think, is a dvd? not sure)
- He has played baseball and is still a baseball fan. His favorite team is Yomiuri Giants. He said he even got time to get autograph from Tatsunori Hara.
- During school days, he joined a band as a keyboard member because of a woman. The other members warned him because his love is "forbidden" since the woman is the leader. He confessed 5 times and also got dumped 5 times.
(lol.. not so sure if this is right though)
- After the major debut, he gained weight by always eating during recording. He weighed 72kg the time when "Natsuzora Graffiti" was at peak. He, then, went on a diet and successfully lost 14kg.
- He had stated in his blog the blend word, "Ikipidia" from Wikipedia and Ikimono Gakari.
- His favourite comedian is "Audrey".; He exchanges emails with comedian Masayasu Wakabayashi.


Yamashita Hotaka

- Guitar (usually uses acoustic); harmonica; (standing position: right)
- Born Aug 27, 1982 in Ebina, Kanagawa Pref.
- Nicknames: "Hocchi", "Yamachan", and "Hotaka"
- Height: 174 cm
- Education - Elementary: Ebina School; High school: Atsugi High; College: Hosei Uni (sociology grad)
- He's in charge of writing songs for the album, while Mizuno writes their singles. Such songs he wrote were "Kokoro Hitotsu Aru ga Mama" and "Kokoro no hana wo sakaseyou"
- He can write a song in 30 mins.
- Named after a mountain "Hodaka" peak because his father likes mountains.
- He enjoys traveling, liquor, scotch, and anime (like "The World of Golden Eggs").
- He likes wearing boots. He has 10 rings on his left hand and his nails are polished black. He enjoys his hair which extends on the left side.
- His dog, Hippo, just died March 2010 at the age of 14. (from his blog)
- He took piano lessons since he was a kid.
- When they were inactive for a year, he traveled abroad while Mizuno was persuading Yoshioka to get back with the band. They were formed again when he returned home. That time, Mizuno had to take his driver license.
- While jobless, he saves 500 yen every lunch. He saved up to 20 000 yen because he's not spending it at all.
- Still goes with his friends back in Ebina to have drinks.[/size]

I know most of them, but there's still a lot more to know...like wearing a mask during her sleep...that i didn't know. (i guess the mask blocks the passage of air, bec. sometimes we tend to open our mouth while sleeping and this cause the throat to dry once we wake up.)

haha.. apparently he really loves traveling and photography. he even talked about the philippines on an interview and he showed pictures he took. but i don;t know where he went on the philippines. it's some kind of island right? what was it?

I don't know John Mayer that well myself but he came to Rock in Rio Lisboa.

john mayer is a singer + gutarist..

i like his skill in playing guitar, and seems mizuno get a big influenced in his style in playing guitar...

Today someone asked me which exactly songs Hotaka sings, and I couldn't think of any except Natsu.Koi. Well I can name maybe a couple more but I'm not even sure whether it's Hotaka or Mitsuno. Guys, please help me! Please tell me the titles of songs where Yamashita gets to sing. Not only for that person, I wanna know it for myself, too
