Hana-kimi was my first dorama i watched before i got crazy about Japanese drama...Japanese people tend to make a straight forward drama compared to Korean, they will twist the plot and sometimes boring! Japanese producers wont burden you with 15++ episodes ...mostly dorama have 10-12 episodes...im not sure if there are doramas with more than 15++ episodes..hehehe...Ok, let me introduce some dorama that are in my fave list

-Hana yori dango ( it have taiwan & korean version - Boys over flower) ( romantic comedy)
-atashinchi no danshi (comedy)

-Rookies (sports drama)
Manhattan love story (comedy)

More to come..hehhe...But, these are my fave list...And im totally addicted to dorama

@violet_ingrid hope they do make a second season for the japanese version. i love it!! and thank you i'll watch those next. i'm kind of new to japanese drama. actually asian drama. hana kimi is my third, zettai kareshi was the 1st and 1 ltr of tears was 2nd. so ppl recommend more dramas but only japanese please.

i really hate domyouji's mother!!!!! she has no heart!!!! what an amazing series!!!!!!!

I have already watched a number of Japanese Drama: Hana Yori Dango , Gokusen I, Love Revolution, Pride, Kimi Wa Petto, but the one I love most is BEAUTIFUL LIFE. Gosh! It's so beautiful! I cried and cried... it's a must watch movie! I love Kimura Takuya and I loved him more in TOkiwa Takako in this Drama. I have also watched Hero, also Kimura Takuya. Love Revolution is funny. I love it too. Try watching Kimi Wa Petto. I loved Matsumoto Jun in that drama.

so i'm currently watching Buzzer Beat and i'm loving it!! great acting and Yamashita Tomohisa (Kamiya Naoki) is sooo cute
i started watching this because i was told it had good kissing scenes.
well so far i haven't seen great ones but it different from the usual jdrama kissing.

There is remake of Hana-kimi 2007 with totally new sano, mizuki, nanba-senpai & nakatsu.....Have u watch it? I just watched epi1 and I still prefer the older version....Here's the 2011 poster...

OMG! i know! i mean what was the point in the re make? it hasn't been that long since the original with maki, ikuta, shun and hiro. they should have waited at least more time. i saw the preview of it, same background music even the poster's the same. but no one can beat nakatsu!
I'm not sure if I'll watch it but if i want to compare and criticize this one, i should watch it

Probably to capitalize on the idol fever since they casted Maeda Atsuko as the lead character.

Also, even being a remake, TokyoHive posted that an Oricon pole placed "Hanazakari no Kimi Tachi e" as the most anticipated Summer drama by women and the second most antecipated overall.

Though I don't really follow doramas so I might be wrong.

^Ouch, those are some bad ratings compared to the original, and especially since there seemed to be interest in these iteration.

Interestingly enough, I've actually read comments on forums of people that dislike TokyoHive for some reason, some say it's K-Pop propaganda (probably because of their Korean counterpart) or say things like "that looks like news from TokyoHive" as if it's a bad thing.

As for me, them and TokyoGraph are the sources that post the most interesting stuff so, who cares? ^^
Although they have been pretty insistent on the whole idol update with trivial posts but I guess a little pink fluff is to be expected.

Of course you can always check out JPopAsia and JAmeWorld too.

yeah i don't see anything wrong with tokyohive, i really like them. they post news that i sometimes can't find in jpopasia. mostly surveys. and I'm actually pretty active in jpopasia. its really fun to be there! i think i started checking it out because of you jeje!

I've heard about that manga/anime before and about the drama but i wasn't sure if i was going to watch it but since you recommend it......after i finish nobuta wo produce though. i'm on the last episodes!!

You should...Yamamoto yusuke is a great actor, especially comedy....If you watch hana-kimi & atashinci, you will see his talent....Oh, you are now watching nobuta wo produce, have you watch buzzer beat? Its yamapi too...hehehe....

yup, I've seen hana kimi, atashinchi and buzzer beat!!
my goal is too watch every drama yamapi has come out in.......its yamapi after all!

Just finished watching episode 1...As expected! Im sooo in love with new "tamaki senpai"....damn...yusuke is a great actor!!!

Yeap, they have uploaded episode 1 and behind the scenes as well.. You have your ouran fan club? Sugooiii....Ouran was my second anime that I watched after midori no hibi... Yea, me too, can't wait to see haruhi's father who is still confused with his/her gender...hahaha.... another thing is tamaki's puppy eyes...do you still remember it? hahaha....

^ oh yeah, that was really cute!!! midori no hibi is good too, though you need to censor some scenes I love the op and ending song too ♥ I'm glad I have the same taste here~
