Some exciting news !

Hi everyone !!

First: New song announced named "Egao" (written by Mizuno Yoshiki, Arranged by Seiji Kameda) will be used for the new movie "Pokémon Best Wishes".
The song will be released as a single on the 10th july.

Second: New original album announced. More details later.

Can't wait for all the promotion on TV !!

Those are great news! Even more exposure for Iki since it's a anime tie-in (we all know how Blue Bird, Hanabi and Hotaru no Hikari worked out well ).

Now, for the new album, I echo, once again, that I'm hoping for a more classic Iki sound. I know that they will probably have more of a mainstream feeling to their new songs but even so, I'd like to see them put a couple of them in there with harmonica and acoustic guitar on the forefront.

Yeahh!!!! 12 years ago I would've been more excited about a new Pokemon movie... :p
But 12 years have passed and Im more excited about the new Iki album.
I hope for more rock songs ala Seishun Line, Hanabi.

It's the first time I've watched Pokemon in japanese, didn't know Mewtwo's voice is a female voice.

Well, it sounds like it's a laid-back and cheerful song in keeping with Iki's latest releases. I'm going to hold further judgment until we hear some more of it or the full track.

I think there is a thread about whether Iki should rest, but no signs of that happening at all.
Im glad since I could relatevely say Im a new fan 6-7 months, so I want them to have a good summer/year.
