Antivirus

I need your suggestions. My computer is attacked by virusses. like delp-shortcut & RECYCLER. My antivirus is avast, (the lastest version) but i cannot delete thoses virusses and cannot detect them! So, what must i do? Should I change my antivirus?

Actually, for complete protection, you have to have a lot of antiviruses with specific uses. I remember my computer teacher has 8 antiviruses and she has zero virus.....I'll try to ask her what they are....

Hum, you should have a good firewall, there's a nice free one called Comodo Firewall, that's the first step in preventing viruses.
Also, if the situation is that serious (although I don't know those two viruses), maybe you should consider formatting, it's the fireproof solution. Viruses and trojans are nasty things that can spread like wildfire without one even noticing and they're hard to completely remove when they're well crafted and have already lodged in the system. =/

Having too many antiviruses is not recommended...it will have conflicts with other antivirus software installed in the computer.

comodo firewall based on my experience is not good....slows down your pc and complicate things.

I would suggest you use ESET Nod32, very good in virus, but you still need to install a good antispyware/malware tool bec ESET is not that good in detecting spywares.

Reformatting your computer is the last resort...hahaha. 100% clean....btw, i need to reformat mine coz it got infected too...LOL

wow i don't have anything of what u guys mentioned and i still haven't gotten any viruses yet. still I'll get ESET. my brother has it anyway..

oh, but i'm not saying soooo many......i'm just saying choose the right ones.....but i don't know much since i never had any virus attacks yet....

All Antivirus is good IF You update to the latest definition @nabilanami what your computer spec?? getting to protective AV like Kaspersky sometimes can make ur comp lag even Kaspersky is the best IMO you might wanna try Microsoft Security Essential which is Free and good so far as im used in my old laptop

I used to have MS Essentials but it didn't clean the virus that i have til now. LOL
