Arigatou PV goes 3D!!!

The band Ikimono Gakari will have a 3D music video for their newest song, titled "Arigatou." In addition, it will be Japan's first 3D music video to be publicly shown in movie theaters.

For just one week starting on May 8, audiences watching the 3D movie "Alice in Wonderland" or "Clash of the Titans" will get to see the 2-minute video before the start of the film. The screenings will be limited to three theaters: Wald 9 in Shinjuku, Burg 13 in Yokohama, and Burg 7 in Umeda, Osaka.

Ikimono Gakari is actually the second Japanese artist to do a 3D music video, as UVERworld also created one for their song "GOLD." However, UVERworld's video was limited to a private screening, with tickets given out by lottery to fans who purchased the band's new album.

"Arigatou" is currently being used as the theme song for the NHK drama series "Gegege no Nyoubou." It is being released as a single on May 5.

This is HUGE guys...They are the 2nd Japanese artist to do this kind of thing....I really hope that the pv will release so that their non-japanese fans can watch the 3D pv too....

i think this music video is fitted to be made into 3D because of the bubbles and her hand when she raises it forward.. it would be awesome to watch it in 3D haha

I think a clip like Blue bird would be perfect for 3D !
But it's really cool that they do it ! But did they choose themselves to do it ? or it's an advertiser who ask/ them to do it ?
Anyway it's really cool and moreover they are only the 2nd group to do it !!

Btw, i agree with masterjz...planetarium is the best choice for 3D pv....Anyway, I`m looking forward for their 3D pv...hopefully it will come out soon on youtube....

hold on a sec... if it comes out on youtube i dont think it will be possible for you to see this in 3d unless you have the 3d glasses...or are you thinking of it as if they will be converted in 3d like the animated toy story for example?

i watch arigatou pv, but there's ikimonogakari in the place like the cafe, and kiyoe wore the yellow dress and white footwear, then there was a man who gave her a bucket of flower.. what's that? is it the real pv ??
