Be the Music Video Director for Hotaru no hikari

If ever they will release the song "hotaru no hikari" as their 14th single...what is your idea for their next music video given the chance to be the director for ikimono gakari?

well for me, since hotaru no hikari means "lights of fireflies" which is a very light and "dancy" song (which i can't help dancing everytime i hear this song)...i would like to create a video showing ikimono gakari performing and dancing on a retro disco...you know with all the lights and fancy clothings...basically its just all about transitions and lighting effects...

whats yours?

I'd like the theme to be Vincent Van Gogh's "Stary stary night". A jolly mood. The three of them star-gazing and dancing in the night with star-shaped mascots..

Lighting ~ I think I saw it on the HANABI PV (the firefly-like spark that flew around the video) : )

Well when you talk about fireflies, first thing that comes in my mind is the "Rurouni Kenshin" scene with Kaoru with fireflies and the Ghibli film "Grave of the Fireflies". (these scenes are both sad & tragic~)

I guess the video is in the lake with fireflies~

@ikifan yeah i like the idea of natsuzora graffiti at night...looks cool and fresh

@bosjef dancing, star-shaped mascots...sounds funny but intriguing...i can imagine

@monkey yeah my idea was just like the hanabi pv but with a different touch...this one will not be done by just using chromatography...just try to envision disco fever nights...i was thinking the same thing too about rorouni kenshin but thats a sad clip and its way diff with hotaru which is a fun and inspiring song...

basically its just all about transitions and lighting effects..
